Infestation Treatment
Anything goes, but not if insects have contaminated your valuable batch of tree nuts. Should that be the case, however, we offer an effective solution: insect treatment!
We have two types of insect treatment available including an organic low-oxygen treatment for both organic and conventional goods, and a phosphine treatment for conventional goods only.
Low-oxygen treatment
The use of nitrogen (N2) or carbon dioxide (CO2) to drive out oxygen is ideal for organic goods. We provide this treatment both on a stationary basis in low-oxygen chambers and on a mobile basis during transport , facilitated by our colleagues at VacQPack.
In both cases insects are effectively eliminated and your organic goods stay organic. And in this case goes: whatever works for organic goods, works for conventional goods as well!
Fumigation
Phosphine is used for a chemical treatment and can be applied to conventional goods only. As with organic treatments, insects are effectively eliminated when fumigated with phosphine.
Recover product value from mycotoxin-affected nut consignments
Nut consignments exceeding EU regulatory limits for critical mycotoxins such as aflatoxin and ochratoxin are rejected at the border and not allowed to enter the EU market. However, rejection does not automatically mean a total loss. NCP offers a controlled reconditioning service that reduces contamination levels and enables compliant market release where possible.

This enables a significant reduction in mycotoxin – whether aflatoxin or ochratoxin – levels while preserving as much product as possible, with recovery rates of up to 98%, offering a reliable and compliant solution to reduce losses and handle non-compliant consignments.
